Translating the Becher Houses |  Series of Drawings 

In his series of drawings, Translating the Becher Houses, German artist Lars Kreyssig created a personal homage to the German conceptual artists and photographers Bernd and Hilla Becher and their photo series Framework Houses. To pay tribute to the Bechers, he transformed a selection of their photos into drawings.

For Translating the Becher Houses, Lars Kreyssig disassembled the photographs and took the subjects away from their surroundings to simplify the original work: Lines, angles, and patterns are translated into minimal and abstract two-dimensional objects.
